Drone operators must avoid manned aircraft and are responsible for any safety hazard their drone creates in an airport environment.<\/p>\n<p>At Aero Country Airport, drones are not permitted to takeoff or land on airport property (runway, taxiways, roads, common areas) without prior written permission from the Aero Country Board of Directors. Drone operators are required to submit the following information to the Board .<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The persons name that is operating the drone<\/li>\n<li>Cell phone number<\/li>\n<li>Email address<\/li>\n<li>Planned flight pattern<\/li>\n<li>Max Altitude being requested<\/li>\n<li>Planned date and time of the flight<\/li>\n<li>Drone\u2019s FAA registration number<\/li>\n<li>Summary review of all FAA, City of McKinney, and Collin County regulations that apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Drones flying near Aero Country are limited to a maximum altitude of 400 feet and the operator must be aware of and avoid, traffic patterns and takeoff \/ landing areas. Also, a drone must not interfere with operations at the airport and must yield right-of -way to all aircraft.
